Dentistry academy seeks grant proposals
The Academy of Veterinary Dentistry is accepting applications for a $6,000 research grant to fund a project involving the oral cavity or one that promotes veterinary dentistry. This year's award is funded by a $5,000 grant from the AVD and a $1,000 contribution from Dr. Michael Floyd, who donated his AVD Fellow-of-the-Year Award, provided by Pfizer Animal Health. The funding period is one year, and a presentation is required at the end of the grant period to communicate research findings. It is to be presented at the annual Veterinary Dental Forum in the fall of 2002. Grant proposals are to be postmarked by July 30, 2001.
