Basic information

Q: What are the dates and location for the Veterinary Leadership Conference 2024?

A: The Veterinary Leadership Conference 2024 will be held January 4-6 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk, located at 301 E. North Water St, Chicago, IL 60611.

Q: Who can attend the VLC?

A: The VLC is open to all veterinary professionals Including: veterinary students, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, association executives, and other industry professionals interested in developing their leadership skills for their professional and personal development are encouraged to attend.

Q: Will there be a virtual component of this year's VLC?

A: There will be no virtual streaming of VLC this year. Select sessions will be available to purchase sometime in 2024.

Q: How do I submit for reimbursement?

A: A reimbursement form will be provided after the conference to eligible attendees who indicate they would like reimbursement for eligible expenses during registration, including:

  • State VMA/Constituent allied organization representatives
  • Delegates and alternate delegates
  • Veterinary leaders
  • Students selected by SAVMA

A: Registration is open.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: Registration and event fees are non-refundable.

Travel arrangements

Q: How do I make hotel reservations?

A: The deadline to reserve a room online at the reduced AVMA rate has passed. To make your reservation by phone, call 1-312-464-1000 and request the AVMA Veterinary Leadership rate.

Q: How do I book airline reservations or car rentals?

A: Email Travelex Travel Agency at avmaattravelexbiz [dot] com (avma[at]travelexbiz[dot]com) or call 800-882-0499 and mention the Veterinary Leadership Conference for assistance with airline reservations and car rentals.

Continuing education

Q: How do I access the VLC 2023 Continuing Education certificate?

A: Please email vlcatavma [dot] org (vlc[at]avma[dot]org) to request a CE certificate for a past Veterinary Leadership Conference.

Q: Do I need to sign up for each session I would like to attend?

A: All VLC CE sessions and events are available to all full conference registrants on a first-come, first-seated basis. Session and event interests are collected during registration for planning purposes only.
