Congratulations are in order for more than a dozen veterinarians, animal health professionals and animal lovers honored with AVMA Excellence in Veterinary Medicine Awards during the ongoing AVMA Virtual Convention 2021. The award winners were chosen in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the veterinary profession in fields ranging from education and research, to private practice, to service and advocacy.

The annual AVMA Excellence Awards showcase the achievements of veterinary professionals whose work improves animal health and welfare across all disciplines and career paths. In addition to rewarding individuals for their exceptional work, they also focus attention on the value and many diverse aspects of veterinary medicine.
