Honor a colleague: Nominations open for AVMA Excellence Awards
Help celebrate veterinary excellence in all disciplines
Veterinary professionals, your colleagues and your Association are relying on you.
Nominations open today for AVMA’s Excellence Awards, which require individual nominations to identify deserving colleagues. If you know someone whose great work deserves recognition, they’re depending on you to bring their name forward as a nominee.
Who do you know who deserves recognition?
Recognizing all disciplines and careers
The Excellence Awards recognize service, commitment, and accomplishments benefiting veterinary medicine, across every kind of work. Nominees can include educators, researchers, clinical practitioners, veterinary advocates, and even those who are not veterinarians – anyone whose work significantly contributes to advancing veterinary medicine.
By rewarding excellence across all disciplines, the awards shine a light on veterinary medicine:
- Showcasing the broad expertise of veterinarians
- Advancing public perception of our profession
- Highlighting the important work of veterinarians, including in careers that aren’t always in the public eye
When you nominate a colleague, you not only offer them well-deserved recognition. You give back to veterinary medicine by spotlighting the important work of veterinary professionals everywhere.
The variety of awards shows the breadth of veterinary medicine, the diversity of veterinary careers, and the many ways in which veterinary professionals protect animal and human health:
